3rd reason: Fiesta and Family
Every August 9 and 10 is our town Fiesta in Bobon N. Samar. Our Patron Saint is Sto. Nino. And its my tradition to make sure i go home and visit and spend time with my Family, my Parents normally hires cook for fiesta but this time i told them no need to hire a cook. Aside from i want them to save money, i also felt like its about time na ako naman magluto sa family ko and their guests. I cooked 9 dishes for 80-100 people.. it was very very tiring but very fulfilling. My share was labor..hehe Masaya.. So happy to see my parents happy for me and for my love of cooking. It was such an amazing feeling. Except my father na slight na nagtampo sa akin kasi i only gave him tsenelas as pasalubong haha but we're still a Happy Family. We are not the Brady Bunch type family but we know we love and respect each other.

August 10 Kapatronan (Fiesta day)
As i said, nag volunteer ako mg luto sa house for the fiesta, so i'm sharing with you the food that i cooked sa bahay namin. First i wanted to make green salad and other food na hindi usual na hinahanda sa samar fiesta but my Family disagreed kasi baka daw hindi kainin at magustuhan.. so ang ginawa ko kung ano ang usual na handa sa fiesta pero i just styled them nalang..and i still made pasta na not tomato based and sweet.
Here's the menu:
Scampi Pasta with fresh Basil
Embutido
Lumpia
Steamed crabs with sesame seeds
Sweet sticky rice with ripe mango with pili nuts.
Carabeef steak.
Kaldereta
Sinangag na hipon
Lechon
Pili nuts candies
